Concerto Competition NSYO Auditions
The Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition is open to any instrumentalist or vocalist aged 22 or younger by the deadline, who currently resides in and/or maintains a permanent residence in Nova Scotia. Present members or alumni of the NSYO are also welcome to apply, regardless of area of residence. Competitors must provide a recent recording, (no older than 6 months) of a standard concerto (one long movement or two short movements) or group of operatic arias, a current resume and two reference letters from recognized professional musicians, supporting the application.
CD recordings only, please.
Applications must be received in the NSYO office no later than March 1, 2014. An independent jury will select a winner to perform with the NSYO in scheduled performances during the 2014-2015 NSYO season.
